Senior IT Solution Designer – SAP Supply Chain

About the role

You will shape and guide SAP Supply Chain solutions, translating business requirements into solution and integration designs that follow architecture guidelines. In this client-facing role, you will explain the business value and change impact of S/4HANA Supply Chain transformations and provide direction to implementation teams.

What you’ll do

Refine and review business requirements, helping ensure effective use of the IT application landscape and infrastructure.
Translate user stories into detailed solution and integration designs in line with architecture guidelines.
Consider impacts across applications, data models, interfaces, sequence flows and non-functional requirements.
Make timely design decisions across systems, taking dependencies and interactions between applications into account.
Maintain clear, up-to-date solution design documentation.
Propose technologies, design patterns and technical stories in collaboration with engineering and development teams.
Identify design-chain issues and improvement opportunities, and discuss priorities with the Product Owner.
Design SAP Supply Chain Financing solutions and explain the benefits of SAP S/4HANA to business stakeholders.
Support Business Partner supplier maintenance in SAP and ensure data is correctly transferred from SAP to the CRXMarkets platform.
Work closely with business key users to address process needs and guide IT and business teams according to the agreed solution design.
Support defect handling in line with the delivered design and assess change requests with IT and business stakeholders.

What you’ll bring

More than 10 years of experience in an IT Solution Designer role.
Deep SAP Supply Chain knowledge and a strong Supply Chain background.
Knowledge of the CRXMarkets add-on for SAP S/4HANA.
Knowledge of Business Partner and Purchase Order handling in Supply Chain Financing.
A solid understanding of integrations with related modules and business processes.
Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
The ability to work independently, take initiative and drive topics in ambiguous situations.
Experience providing expertise and direction on complex projects.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and business stakeholders.

Education and location

A background in Supply Chain is required; a Master’s degree in Supply Chain is highly preferred.
Dutch or German language skills are a strong advantage.
You must live in the Netherlands and be able to work on site in Amsterdam once or twice a month.

Functie-eisen

Deep SAP Supply Chain knowledge is a must
Has a knowledge of CRX Markets add on S/4Hana is a must
Having a knowledge of Business Partner & Purchase Order handling within the Supply Chain Financing process is a must
Background in Supply chain is a must
On site presence in Amsterdam is needed 1 or 2 times a month. Therefore, the candidate should live in the Netherlands

Wensen

Master degree in Supply Chain is highly preferred
Dutch or German language skills are a strong plus

The Solution Designer takes into account the functional impacts in each application, data model, interface specifications, interface changes, sequence flows and non-functional requirements
The Solution Designer ensures sufficient solution design documentation and keep it up-to-date
The Solution Designer proposes technologies, design patterns, technical stories by combining the engineering expertise of the agile/developer teams with the overall solution architecture
The Solution Designer identifies refactoring/improvement design chain issues and discuss their priority with Product Owner
Technical Currency: the breadth of technical knowledge across various technology programs/packages
Consulted for expertise, driving the technology developments in their area of expertise
